I wasn’t tagged to do it, but I found this at Where the Books Never End, and it looked like fun, so here goes! In the words of the original creator,
The idea of this tag is that the previous person will tag someone with ten books that they have to respond to with gifs. Hopefully that makes sense, but I think it will become clearer once the actual tag gets started.
Here are the books that Where the Books Never End listed.
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling
The Harry Potter books were basically my childhood.
Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
Geeky romance: my secret weakness.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan
Whatever you do, don’t watch the movie.
Cinder by Marissa Meyer
Sci-fi cyborg Cinderella… what? But Marissa Meyer pulled it off really well.
Eragon by Christopher Paolini
I remember that I used to love it, but I haven’t read it in a while and don’t really have a strong opinion either way.
Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz
It’s been a couple months since I read it but I do remember having many feels. ALL the feels, actually.
Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo
Never read it. Sorry.
Inkheart by Cornelia Funke
Again, it’s been a while since I read it, but, I mean, it’s a story about people who can actually read things out of books. Including characters. I mean, okay, it usually doesn’t go well, but that doesn’t make it any less awesome. If you try telling me that you have never once in your life wanted to meet a fictional character, then you are a liar.
The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick
It was good, don’t get me wrong. Just not really my thing. I wasn’t a fan of all the pictures interspersed between the prose. And yes, I know that’s ironic coming from a comic book fan, but novels and comics are very different storytelling mediums. I guess I’m being a bit of a purist here. Anyway.
Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs
I’d really like to read it, but haven’t done so yet.
My list of books:
- The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
- Ash by Malinda Lo
- Twilight by Stephanie Meyer
- Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell
- Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson
- Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein
- The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare
- Graceling by Kristin Cashore
- The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater
- Guy in Real Life by Steve Brezenoff
And I’m tagging
Chloe @ Free as a Girl With Wings
Elly @ A Hufflepuff’s Thoughts
And anyone else who wants to do it!
Please don’t kill me but I have literally read nothing on that list… Oh and it’s Elly with a y…
It’s fine! And I’m so sorry, I’ll go fix that… I always mess that spelling up.
Okay! I understand that it’s an unusual spelling; I’ve only ever met one other person who spells it the same as me 🙂
Yay! Glad you did it! Fangirl is immensely accurate. I love the gif you chose for PJO!!! Soooo true.
It was a lot of fun! Fangirl was soooo good. Percy Jackson, too, but the movie was awful.
I know! The movie they just failed!
Don’t mind me, I just followed you, but I’ll do this tag. 🙂
I love your blog so far! 🙂
Awesome! And thanks for the follow 🙂
